The aim of the course is a concise history of art from the Paleolithic civilization up to the 21th century modern culture. This will give the participants the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the basic periods of the worldwide art history and understand the evolution in art via the social, cultural, ideological and aesthetic context of each era. The course will introduce the participants to the historical socio-cultural themes within an artistic framework and will relate these to the contemporary aesthetics. Moreover, the course will try to enable participants to recognize and engage with artistic response to the political, economic, sociological and technological influences which have taken place within, and continue to influence, society.
The course is focused on the exploration of:
- the historic movements in art and its relationship to the socio-cultural context of the times.
- the relationship between key historic developments in art and contemporary issues and debates.
- the political, economic, social and technological influences on art within historic and contemporary global contexts.
The purpose of this course is to introduce and help participants to use the acquired knowledge about how rhythm works as an alternative cross curricular teaching method for all students.

This course provides a thorough introduction to the widely-used e-learning platform Moodle as well as an introduction to basic theoretical aspects of e-learning.
The course is appropriate for classroom teachers of every school level without any special prior knowledge. It introduces all basic operations to build and manage an online course in Moodle. Topics like installation, lesson creation and management, user access and administration, backup and restore and many other are covered. Everything required to build a complete and powerful online course.
During the course, educators will go through hands-on activities so as to end up in creating their own complete course, containing various lessons and educational resources, in a pre-installed Moodle platform. It provides educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to incorporate Environmental Education into their school practice. This course will introduce basic programming concepts in python through a set of programming exercises that will teach the participants chess. Therefore at the end of the course, participants will be able to code in python, as well as play chess.
The course is appropriate for anyone, no prior knowledge is required.
Covered topics include showing messages in python, using variables, lists, basic arithmetic operations, strings, string formatting and string operations. Regarding chess the covered topics include a basic introduction to chess, how each piece moves, starting position, ending the game.
Participants while learning python, they will write code that will allow two players to play chess against each other while the computer will comment on their game.
This course is an introduction on how the Internet operates (i.e. computer networking) as well as how to manage a linux based computer laboratory using EPOPTES, an open-source software. This course is appropriate to anyone interested in learning the Internet behind the scenes in order to better understand it, as well as teachers involved in computer laboratories.
No prior knowledge required, as this course starts from scratch introducing simple terms with simple examples. It covers topics such as computer addressing, packet routing, firewalls, internet security, emails, instant messaging and the web. Moreover, the participants will setup their own basic network including WiFi (wireless network) setup.
Furthermore participants will install and use the EPOPTES software. The EPOPTES software allows the central management of a wired computer laboratory. This includes: central user account management, file sharing, broadcasting of teacher’s display, remote assistance and more.

This course covers WordPress, a widely used blogging platform as well as H5P which enables the easy creation of rich and interactive web content. Combined together these tools can assist the creation of simple yet appealing online courses.
The course starts with a basic introduction to e-learning followed by a thorough presentation of WordPress and H5P and how to bind them together to easily build a small e-learning platform.

Healthy eating patterns in childhood and adolescence promote optimal childhood health, growth, and intellectual development. There is no need of prior knowledge of the Arduino board and programming methods, as the course starts introducing everything from scratch.
